On the face of it, “what difference does a day make?” unless you have missed a Train, Plane or important meeting, well then it is most critical. When you go to the book of Revelation and the last message to a dying world and you find something interesting in Revelation Chapter 14 where the 1st Angel’s Message says to “Worship the Creator.” The 2nd Angel’s Message talks of Babylon Fallen, but the next message tells us it again, but with the details, and that is about Worship. The 3rd Angel’s Message is all about Worship, but then goes on to describe the results or consequences to anybody who is not a “Creator Worshiper” so I guess this message is in the end critical.
The 7th day Sabbath (Saturday) which is the 4th Commandment is about the longest, and the reason for worshiping Jesus Christ, “The Creator” is because he made everything, and then Calvary proved the depth and devotion of this love. So we then have two powers that are recorded in Revelation as being “Beast” and Image” and these promote and then “Force” something else on mankind, but it certainly is not a Saturday Sabbath. They want some other day to have R&R and there is a range of reasons promoted to support this, and none so far are for any religious reasons.
Germany has Sunday off so that the Children can have Mommy & Daddy (Gender not specific), whereas America is about to launch a day off on Sunday, to close all the businesses, as the Workers need a day off (Unions are pushing this one.) New Zealand appears to be moving towards having a Sunday off so that the Green Issue is addressed as cars, business and other manufacturing are causing pollution, Greenhouse Gasses, Environmental problems, so let us shut down things for one day. Even in Islamic countries there is a consensus that they even have a “Day Off” as on Sundays their Banking shuts down so you cannot operate a business on Sunday as there is no Banking facilities available, so their Nations shut down on Sunday.
We have Trade Unions, Greenpeace, Environmentalists, Family Groups, and Politicians waving flags for a vote for their political party, and so far not by a single “Religious Group,” is advocating this from the forefront, it is being pushed more Politically than Religiously.
God says in 1 Samuel 15:22 b “Behold, to obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than the fat of rams.” Romans 6:16 “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
So I guess the bottom line is “Who’s ya Daddy.” Do you have a “Heavenly Father” and obey him, or do you have some other father and side with him. The end result of these decisions has an unchangeable eternal consequence.
